Buy advertising space from a community
For businesses: get verified, find the right community, submit a booking, supply creative, agree the rate, pay and follow performance.
A JollyBee business account lets you book advertising from communities across the network and manage the campaigns, conversations, invoices and results in one place. The community owns its inventory and makes the final approval decision.
1. Create and verify the business
Sign in at JollyBee for Business and create the business profile. Then open Profile and complete the details the review team uses:
- Business name, website, category and description.
- Registered business name, company registration number and authorised contact.
- VAT number when applicable.
- Company registration document and an ID or authority document. Files are private to the review team and may be a PDF or image up to 10 MB.
- Address, latitude and longitude if you want to buy a sponsored map pin.
You can browse inventory while the profile is pending, but only a Verified business can submit a booking. If the team requests more information, its reviewer note appears on the business home. A rejection note also appears on Profile. Update and save the profile to return it to the review queue.
2. Find the right audience and placement
Open Discover communities. Only communities with active advertising inventory appear. Each placement shows:
- The community and its category.
- The placement's name and type.
- The listed price and whether it is Flat, CPM or Monthly.
Choose the community because its people fit the campaign, then choose the surface that fits the job. An event sponsor is useful around a specific race or gathering; an overview tile stays close to returning members; a newsletter or email unit reaches the inbox; a widget banner reaches visitors on the community's own website.
Read Advertising creative sizes and specifications before committing to a placement that needs new artwork.
3. Submit the booking
Expand Book this placement and enter:
- Campaign name — a clear internal name, such as
Winter service launch. - Budget — the amount you want used for this campaign's invoice. This is not currently an automatically enforced spend cap: when it is greater than zero, it becomes the invoice amount instead of the listed or agreed rate. Leave it at zero when the listed or negotiated rate should be invoiced.
- Starts and Ends — the requested flight window.
- Objective — what success means, such as store visits, bookings or awareness.
Submitting creates a Proposed campaign at the placement's current listed rate and notifies the community. A request is not live merely because it was submitted.
If the placement was archived between opening the page and submitting, the portal will say it is no longer available. Return to Discover and choose an active placement.
4. Agree the terms and add creative
Open the campaign under Campaigns. The Messages panel is the shared negotiation thread. Send context or a counter-rate there; the community accepts the final offer and controls the campaign status.
You do not have to wait for the rate conversation to finish before preparing creative. Add:
- A concise headline and supporting body for text-based placements.
- A PNG or JPG image in the recommended dimensions for the broadest compatibility, up to 10 MB.
- Short call-to-action text.
- A complete
http://orhttps://target URL.
Image-based web, app and email units show the artwork itself as the main content, so put essential visible copy into the artwork. The headline still matters as alternative text on web, widget and email surfaces. Keep logos, faces, prices and text away from the edges because JollyBee-hosted page cards and mobile units may crop banner art at different screen widths.
The community can review, edit, pause or reactivate a creative. Most placements require at least one active creative before the campaign can serve. A sponsored map pin is the exception: it can fall back to the linked business website when no creative is active.
5. Pay the invoice
After agreement, the community raises an invoice. It appears inside the campaign and on Billing. Choose Pay now to complete the PayStack checkout.
Payment changes the invoice and campaign payment state to Paid. The community still has to approve and make the campaign Active; paying does not force a Scheduled, Paused or Declined booking live.
If no invoice appears yet, ask the community in the campaign thread. If PayStack cannot start the checkout, the community may still need to connect its payout bank account.
6. Know when the campaign is live
Only Active means serving. Other useful states are:
- Accepted — the terms are agreed but it has not launched.
- Scheduled — prepared for a future launch; the community still needs to choose Go live.
- Paused — temporarily off.
- Completed — finished, with results retained.
- Declined — not approved.
Even while Active, the campaign serves only inside any supplied start and end dates and while its placement remains active. Most placements also require an active creative; a sponsored map pin can fall back to the linked business website.
7. Read the results
The campaign page totals impressions, clicks and CTR:
- Impressions show recorded delivery or rendering opportunities on supported surfaces.
- Clicks show visits through the tracked creative link.
- CTR is clicks divided by impressions.
Sponsored map pins currently record a tracked click only when an active creative supplies the link; a pin falling back directly to the business website is not tracked. Appearing on the map does not add a map-pin impression. More generally, use the numbers with the campaign objective: a map or event awareness campaign may produce value that is not a click, while a direct-response offer should have a working target URL and a call to action that makes the next step obvious.
