Design, test and schedule newsletters

Build a branded email newsletter, test it to the admin address, select the real audience and read its linked campaign statistics.

Newsletters are email-only publications built with the drag-and-drop designer. They start from the community's branded MJML layout and can include a sponsored slot and unsubscribe footer.

Build and test

Open Admin → Communications → Newsletters, create a title and open the designer. Add and arrange content, then save before leaving the editor.

Use Send test before choosing a real audience. A test is sent only to the current admin email, carries a [Test] marker and is not a proof that every recipient domain will render or accept the final send.

Choose the audience

Select a saved segment or the option labelled All members. In the current newsletter flow, All members resolves the full active roster, which can include leads and day visitors—not only paid membership holders. Use a Members-only segment when the distinction matters.

Newsletters are marketing email and apply email opt-outs and suppressions. The audience count shown before sending can be higher than the final queue after those filters.

Send now or schedule

The schedule field is interpreted from the admin browser's local date and time. Confirm the displayed instant when the community and admin operate in different timezones.

Once scheduled, the newsletter is locked against ordinary editing until its schedule is cancelled. Cancel the schedule first, make the change, test again and reschedule. A sent newsletter cannot be sent as the same draft again.

Statistics and sponsorship

A newsletter send creates or links to a Campaign for message counts, opens and clicks. Those measurements have the limitations described in Inbox, delivery log and communication analytics.

The Sponsored slot can render eligible newsletter advertising. Configure the newsletter placement and campaign under Advertising; placing the block in a design does not by itself sell or activate an ad.
