Community owners · Getting started

Create your community

Choose your community identity, public address and operating details, then continue setup in the admin console.

A JollyBee community gives your organisation its own public page, member area and admin console.

Create the community

Sign in, choose Create a community, and complete the details shown in the setup form:

  • Name and public address — choose the name people know and a short URL. The public page lives at jollybee.buzz/c/your-slug.
  • Community type and category — choose the closest fit. These choices tailor the modules and setup guidance you see; they do not delete data if changed later.
  • Currency — choose carefully. It controls the currency shown beside prices and is read-only in community settings after creation. Hosted PayStack charges are currently initialised in ZAR, so use ZAR for a live hosted-card checkout.
  • Location and contact details — add what is useful now; the full profile can be completed later under Settings.

You do not choose a subscription plan in this form. A default plan is applied when the community is created unless an invitation has already assigned a different plan. Owners can review the current plan and available upgrades under Admin → Subscription.

Complete the useful setup first

After creation, open the admin console and work through the setup checklist. A practical order is:

  1. Complete Settings and add the locations where the community operates.
  2. Invite the team members who need admin access.
  3. Connect the payment or other integrations you intend to use.
  4. Create the membership, pass, class, event or product you want to launch first.
  5. Preview the public page and run a real end-to-end test before sharing it.

Use Admin → Settings → Modules to keep navigation focused on the tools this community actually uses. Module relevance changes what is shown in navigation; it does not change the subscription, erase records or cancel anything already scheduled.
