Public address, locations and ownership

Change the community URL safely, add useful venue instructions and transfer ownership only to a prepared active member.

Change the public address

The community slug appears in public and admin URLs. Settings requires typed confirmation before changing it.

After a change, JollyBee redirects the old /c/old-slug and /app/old-slug routes to the new address and reserves the retired slug so another community cannot take it. A printed QR that contains the old URL can still follow that redirect, but its visible text and any copied instructions remain out of date. Update websites, email templates, social profiles and new print material.

Add meeting locations

Locations can carry a name, address, city, country, map pin, description, arrival notes and photo. Mark the normal venue Primary so it is selected where a tool needs a default.

Use arrival notes for practical directions that a street address does not explain. If gate access is enabled, put the correct At the Gate category ID on each gated location. Day-permit gate credentials take their category from the visitor-selected or confidently route-matched venue.

Review event, class and appointment records after changing a location. Existing records that stored their own location text are not automatically rewritten simply because the settings record changed.

Transfer ownership

Only the current owner can transfer the community. The recipient must already be an active community member with a login identity. Invite or activate them and confirm they can sign in before starting.

The transfer makes that person the owner and changes the previous owner to an admin. It is a real permissions change, not just a contact-field edit. Confirm the recipient and explain their responsibility for team access, billing and sensitive settings before submitting it.
