Gate codes with At the Gate
Connect At the Gate, configure venue categories and delivery, and understand when a visitor chooses a gate.
JollyBee can request a code and PIN from At the Gate (ATG) for a valid day permit. The credential works during the hours configured for the visit date; a window can cross midnight when the community operates that way.
Configure the integration
Under Admin → Settings → Gate access:
- Add the ATG API key and enable gate-code issuing.
- Set the access start and end times in the community timezone.
- Add a marshal code when only authorised gate staff should record admission. With no marshal code, a person holding the permit link can record an entry and it is marked unverified.
- For WhatsApp delivery, first connect the provider under Admin → Communications → Settings, then create or sync an approved template under Communications → WhatsApp. Return here to bind that template to gate credentials.
Then add the correct ATG category ID to each gated meeting location. The category is selected from the venue, not inferred from words such as adult or junior in the offering name.
Why the code is requested later
The permit is created at purchase, but the visitor requests the gate credential when preparing to travel. ATG permits one live profile per phone number per category. Issuing next weekend's credential too early could replace one the same phone is using now in that category.
The permit page does not always ask a venue question. It can skip the choice when the route is matched with high confidence. Otherwise the visitor chooses a gated location or Somewhere else. Somewhere else marks the permit No gate needed rather than leaving it waiting for a credential.
Support from the permit console
Open Admin → Day permits to inspect the selected venue, issue or re-issue a code, withdraw a credential and review delivery attempts. Needs ATG check means ATG did not give JollyBee a trustworthy final result; inspect ATG before retrying so a live external profile is not duplicated. No code returned means the request reached an issued state without a usable code in the response.
Payment, permit validity, ATG state and message delivery are separate. A successful payment does not guarantee that an external gate provider or message provider completed its part.
