Create and manage member deals
Publish store discounts or external partner offers, choose a safe code mode, restrict tiers and manage claim limits and expiry.
A member deal is the benefit a person can claim. It may be linked to a partnership agreement, but it is a separate record with its own status, value, eligibility, codes and expiry. Linking is optional: the deal does not inherit agreement terms, require an Active agreement or pause when the partnership pauses.
Create the deal
Open Admin → Partners → Member Deals and choose the type:
- Store discount creates a JollyBee discount redeemable in store checkout and POS. Choose percentage or fixed value and an optional minimum subtotal.
- External offer gives the member a partner code, redemption URL or both. Redemption happens outside JollyBee.
Add the partner, title, description, image, optional claim limit, expiry and Featured flag. Leave tier restrictions empty for all active members, or select offerings so only members actively holding at least one selected tier can see and claim it.
Deals begin Active. Pause one to hide and block new claims temporarily, or End it when it is finished. Expiry and the claim-limit check also prevent a new claim.
Choose the code mode carefully
- Unique — JollyBee creates a different code for each member claim. For store discounts it creates a real single-use discount code. For an external offer it creates a JollyBee token, but the partner has no verification API; use Imported when the partner must validate codes in its own system.
- Shared — everyone who claims sees the same code. Use only for an offer that can safely be copied beyond the member area.
- Imported — for an external offer, paste partner-supplied codes into a pool. Each claim draws the next available code atomically. Watch the remaining count and import more before it reaches zero.
Deal type and code mode cannot be changed after creation because previously issued codes depend on that structure. End the old deal and create a replacement when the structure must change.
Member experience
Eligible signed-in members find benefits under Community → Me → Perks. A member claims each deal once; reopening it returns the same claim rather than consuming another code. Tier restrictions, active status, expiry, claim limit and imported-pool availability are checked again at claim time.
For a JollyBee store discount, normal checkout or POS redemption records use of the generated discount code. For an external offer, JollyBee records that the code or URL was claimed, but it cannot confirm whether the partner accepted it or what was purchased off-platform. A claim count is not a redemption count.
Pausing or ending a deal blocks new claims but does not revoke codes already issued. Edits update the one shared store code, but previously issued unique or imported codes do not inherit later value changes.
Active deals from active public communities also contribute benefits to the public /partners directory. That directory does not filter expiry, exhausted code pools or tier restrictions, so its listing is discovery—not a promise every visitor can claim. It advertises benefits, not private agreement terms or every signed partnership.
